In the summer of 2000, guitarist and singer Chetley “El Cheetah” Weise and drummer Doug “the Boss” Sherrard rehearsedinside a small shotgun shack in Auburn, Lee County, Alabama. The duo chose to name themselves The Immortal Lee County Killers after their home, Jerry Lee Lewis (the original killer), and a burning desire for immortality.
