PARCELS - OVERNIGHT | 12"
Parcels are a funk-pop group from Byron Bay Australia, sounding like a unique blend of contemporary electronica and matured funk disco, where wide synth soundscapes and an electronic rhythm section meet spirited guitars and five-part vocal harmony. Their debut EP 'Hideout' released last January, is hailed by medias as '2017's soundtrack', featured in the The Guardian or Metro News. The audience is convinced as well: Parcels records today 25 million streams. But what is clear in the end is that Parcels bring a unique brand of pop music and deliver it with infectious and emotive dance songs. Overnight is the exclusive new song from Australian phenomenon Parcels, conceived in tight collaboration with the planet's most gifted robots: Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem Christo of Daft Punk. Following collaborations with major artists such as Nile Rodgers, Pharrell Williams, Kanye West, and Giorgio Moroder and more recently their chart-topping partnership with R&B star The Weeknd, Daft Punk elected to add a brand-new name to a stellar list. The B-side is an exclusive stripped-down version of the "summery banger" (Alice Levine BBC 1) recorded during a Spotify Session in London.
